B3: Lipid Management in Women: Beyond LDL

Define the gender differences in the impact of elevated triglycerides and low HDL on CVD risk. Summarize the clinical trial evidence that LDL-C reduction is associated with clinical benefit in women. Outline the lifestyle and pharmacologic strategies to employ in women with elevated non-HDL-C who are on maximal therapy for LDL-C reduction.
