PC2: Advanced Concepts in Fetal Monitoring: Rising to the Expert Level

Identify three temporary compensatory mechanisms that enable a fetus to survive with limited oxygen supply without decompensation of vital organs. Contrast and compare characteristics of reassuring FHR tracings, variant tracings and those FHR tracings depicting impending fetal decompensation. Interpret a variety of FHR tracings in cases involving twin to twin transfusion syndrome, fetomaternal hemorrhage, ruptured vasa previa, placental abruption, uterine rupture and fetal cardiac arrhythmias.
