Abstract
More women with genital piercings (WGP) are presenting for obstetric/ gynecological care, yet assistive medical and nursing literature is scant. These piercings are a meaningful part of their lives. As we continually adapt our care to societal trends, nurses should not miss teachable moment opportunities with WGPs. This article addresses: (a) common nursing questions, (b) anatomical and physiologic issues, (c) suggestions for applicable care, and (d) educational material for WGPs.
