Many Voices, One Mission

In an effort to provide comprehensive antenatal care, a multidisciplinary team formed to meet the complex needs of the patient and family.  Members of the care team include the patient and family members,  attending physician, perinatologist, neonatologist, neonatal nurse practitioner, staff nurse, ob tech, social worker, case manager, registered dietician, complementary therapy coordinator, spiritual care provider, guest services coordinator , clinical nurse specialist, and nursing management. While the number of team members may seem overwhelming, the gifts and talents represented by this team all speak to the same goal:  meeting the needs of the patient/family and exceeding their expectations regarding their long term stay. Data has demonstrated an increase in maternal length of stay as well as a significant decrease in neonatal mortality and morbidity.  Cost avoidance captures the financial terminology.  There are no words to describe the life long impact for the patient/family.  Many Voices, One Mission is a beautiful summary of our care.
