Biographical Sketch: As a member of the East Texas Perinatal Council, Kathryn helped to author the teaching brochure to be utilized as part of the groups "campaign" to reduce elective late preterm deliveries. She was a clinical coordinator at one of the member hospitals, then stepped down to a PRN position and continued child birth education for that facility. Kathryn now works as a staff nurse at Baylor University Medical Center and has become a champion for the care of late pre-term infants while they are in Labor and Delivery. She has planned education for the Labor and Delivery staff on the special needs of this population as well as parent education.
