Biographical Sketch: Barbara received her BSN from Northern Illinois University; her MSN from the University of Texas Medical Branch; a Post Master's in midwifery at the University of Texas Medical Branch; and her doctorate from the University of Texas School of Public Health. She has been involved in clinical teaching since 1989 in all aspects of women's health. Barbara serves as coordinator for the midwifery and women's health graduate programs at the University of Illinois at Chicago. She has presented nationally at over 20 conferences and continues to practice midwifery.
