Biographical Sketch: Dr. Karen Schaefer is currently an assistant professor and director of undergraduate nursing at Temple University. She has been doing research on women with fibromyalgia for the last 15 years. She has published her work in clinical and research journals.
Dr. Schaefer has presented her work on fibromyalgia (FM) at previous AWHONN (pilot work) conferences, at other professional conferences and to support groups of clients with FM. She thanks Dr. Robert Bennett for his support in helping her gain access to pregnant women with FM.
