Biographical Sketch: Dr. Johnston is president of Methodist College of Nursing in Peoria, Il. She has a doctorate in Higher Education Administration and a Masters in Science in Nursing in Family Health with an emphasis on maternity nursing. She has taught many years in this area and maintained inparient obsteric nurse certification. She is also certified by NLN as a nurse educator. She has published and presented widely on her research and the topic of multicultural nursing care.
