Biographical Sketch: Ellise Adams is an Assistant Clinical Professor at University of Alabama in Huntsville and a member of the AWHONN Alabama Section leadership committee. She is co-recipient of an AWHONN 2001 Research Grant sponsored by Johnson and Johnson Pediatric Institute and the Marshall Klaus, Mother-Baby award for her research - Intrapartum Nurses as Doulas: Increasing Training in Supportive Behaviors to Aid in the Reduction of Cesarean Rates, Length of Labor and Anesthesia and Analgesia Use.
