Biographical Sketch: Dr. Armstrong is the author of multiple articles on body piercings and tattoos. She has presented internationally and nationally on tattooing, body piercing and permanent cosmetics and other topics. She has served as a consultant to the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), the CDC, U. S. Army Accessions Command Strategic Planning Group, and the British Columbia Institute of Technology on tattooing and piercings.
