Biographical Sketch: Catherine Russ is currently the Clinical Manager of a Level 3 Birthing Center and High Risk Obstetric floor at Fairview Hospital, a Cleveland Clinic Regional Hospital. She started her career in obstetrics in 1995 as a graduate of Cleveland State University. She has successfully implemented the Perinatal Patient Safety Project as Co-chairperson of the Steering Committee at Fairview. This project took 1st place in the People's Choice Award for the Cleveland Clinic Health System Annual Patient Safety Forum in March 2007. From this project she became a Perinatal Patient Safety Project Consultant for the OB units and a SBAR education liason and consultant for the other 9 Cleveland Clinic Regional Hospitals. Her interests lie with a multidisciplinary team concept and vision and working in a shared governance model.
