Biographical Sketch: Judie Walker is currently the Director of Women's and Children's Services at North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley, CO. She received her Masters Degree in Nursing Administration from the University of Colorado and is certified in Advanced Nursing Administation. She has practiced in the perinatal specialty area for 28 years and has been in management for over 25 years. She has a wide variety of perinatal experience is several different settings from small rural to large tertiary perinatal centers. Judie is also a member of the AWHONN Consultants Group, performing both perinatal risk assessment and staffing surveys on a national and international level. She also serves in the role of expert witness in perinatal legal cases. She speaks at both the local and national level, speaking at national conventions for both AWHONN and AONE, and has published 6 articles in national nursing journals.
