Biographical Sketch: Renee’ Jones, RNC, MSN, WHNP is a clinical specialist in Labor and Delivery at Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas in Dallas, Texas. She received her post-graduate education as a women's health nurse practitioner with emphasis in critical care obstetrics from Vanderbilt University, and her MSN and BSN from the University of Mississippi.  As a member of AWHONN, she has served in many capacities as Secretary/Treasurer for Utah, Texas 2006 Conference Co-Chair, member of the RPB6 SUCCESS—Research Science Team Member, member of Childbearing and Newborn Committee, and Perinatal Morbidity and Chronic Illness Advisory Panel. Currently, she is an instructor for Intermediate and Advanced Fetal Heart Monitoring Principles and Practices. Renee’ has written a chapter in the AWHONN High Risk/Critical Care Intrapartum Nursing Text and is currently writing a chapter on Amniotic Fluid Embolus in the next version. Renee' was recently awarded Texas March of Dimes Nurse of the Year and Nurse Week's Advancing the Nursing Profession for the Southwest region of the United States. Renee’ is a frequent speaker on various perinatal topics such as Cardiovascular Disease in Pregnancy, Smoking in Pregnancy, Premature Labor, and Critical Care Obstetrics at the local and national level.
