Biographical Sketch: I am a 1995 graduate from the Medical University of South Carolina's College of Nursing in Charleston, South Carolina. I am currently attending the Graduate Program for Nursing Education at the College of Nursing. I have held clinical staff positions in Obstetrics and Gynecology, Staff Development, and am certified in Staff Development from ANCC. Since 2004, I have been employed as a Nurse Educator for Women's Services at Roper St. Francis Healthcare.
I have presented at the Region 7 Sigma Theta Tau's Southern Regional Conference in January 2007 on "Educating and Engaging Multi-Generational Staff in the Periantal Setting" and at the 2007 SC AWHONN Conference. Since 2007, I have been a poster presenter for conferences in the Southeast and the 2007 and 2008 AWHONN National Convention. Furthemore, I am the Secretary Treasurer for SC AWHONN and a candidate in the 2008 AWHONN Emerging Leader Program.
