Biographical Sketch: My nursing career dates back 30 years and I am currently employed as an Ob-Gyn research coordinator at a large academic hospital in Phoenix, AZ.  I began my employment at this institution 23 years ago at a family centered birthing center and have held several positions in the area of women's health and home care.  I received a Master's degree in public health (MPH) in 2000.  In my past 12 years in clinical research I have worked on several NIH-sponsored projects and over 75 research studies varying from clinical trials to epidemiological studies and case series.   I was the principal investigator of a state-funded study of domestic violence in Arizona and my findings were published in the Southern Medical Journal, Nov 2004.

I have experience presenting at national meetings, including the American Public Health Association, AWHONN and the American Association of Neuroscience Nurses.
