Biographical Sketch: JoAnne Stewart, RNC is a coordinator of PeriOperative Services in Labor and Delivery at Lehigh Valley Hospital and Health Network, Allentown, Pennsylvania. In this role she works closely with physicians, patients and various specialties to facilitate the care of normal and complex patients in the operating room in Labor and Delivery. She attended Allentown Hospital School of Nursing and has worked as a professional nurse at Lehigh Valley Hospital and Health Network for 22 years. During that time, she has been a critical care staff nurse, Labor and Delivery staff nurse, and perioperative coordinator for Labor and Delivery. She has participated in many hospital committees, including RN Advisory Board, Infection Control, Performance Improvement, and Peer Reward and Recognition. JoAnne is certified in Inpatient Obstetrics, Neonatal Resuscitation and ACLS. She has assisted in the development of the Code Crimson, massive hemorrhage protocol for obstetric patients and was a participant and member of the steering committee that coordinated the "Live from Lehigh Valley OR: Operation C-section” program to educate high school students in health care careers.
