Biographical Sketch: I received my BSN from Duke University in 1978 and have worked in the Women's Health field ever since. I have been employed at the University of Michigan Birth Center since 1990. I have been active on unit-based practice committees and hospital-wide committees for many years. Currently I serve on our Professional Development Framework review committee, evaluating staff nurse portfolios for clinical advancement in the Framework. In addition, I am an active member of Michigan Nurse's Association and the United American Nurse's.
