Biographical Sketch: Wendy White Singleton, MSN, APRN, ANP
Received BSN in 1998 from Southeastern Louisiana University; Earned MSN with Nurse Pracitioner role concentration in 2004 from Southeastern Louisiana University. Certified as an Adult Nurse Practitioner by ANCC. I have been employed by Woman's Hospital for 9 years in various roles and capacities in nursing. Currently work as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in the Mother/Baby and Employee Health Departments. I have served as Chair of the Nursing Research Council since its inception in 2005 and coordinate nursing research activities within the nursing division of Woman's Hospital.
Research experience includes:
- Current study entitled, "Factors Influencing a Woman's Decision to Breastfeed: A Social Ecological Perspective".
- 2004 study entitled, "Circumcision Pain: A Comparison of the Effectiveness of Selected Comfort Measures", which has been presented at Woman's Hospital Annual Nursing Continuing Education Day (2004) and Dr. Connie S. Logan Research Day sponsored by Louisiana State Sigma Theta Tau Chapter (2005).
