Biographical Sketch: Judy Kitchens has been the Perinatal Safety Project Coordinator for the past 3 years. She has also been a Clinical Outcomes Consultant for the Seton Family of Hospitals for the past 6 years. She provides direct accountability for oversight and direction of the Perinatal Safety Project to assure continuous progression, implementation and measurement of results for all Seton facilities. Her most recent publication and abstract acceptance included “Eliminating Birth Trauma at Ascension Health” (Joint Commission Journal on Quality and Patient Safety, January 2007, Vol. 33, No 1), and “Achieving Zero Preventable Birth Injury by Implementing ‘High Reliability’ Obstetrical Units” (poster presentations, Annual National Patient Safety Congress, Washington DC, May 2007).
