Biographical Sketch: Maureen Cavanagh has nearly 3 decades of experience in perinatal nursing.  She has worked extensively in Labor and Delivery and High Risk Obstetrics in St. Peter's Hospital in Albany, NY.  Additionally, she has served as adjunct nursing faculty at Maria College in Albany, NY and currently is the Perinatal Clinical Nurse Specialist at St. Peter's.  Her research projects have included Moral Decision Making in Maternal Child Nurses and her current project on Moral Distress in Nurses.  She holds a Masters degree in Maternal Child Nursing from Russell Sage College, Troy New York and a Master of Arts in Health Care Mission.  She is also an instructor in the AWHONN Fetal Monitoring Principles and Practices Program.
