Biographical Sketch: I am the Perinatal Outreach Educator (almost 3years) and Neonatal Transport Coordinator (8+ years) at Baylor Univ. Medical Center. While becoming familiar with the hospitals that BUMC services, I recieved input that a group meeting for nurses in the area to discuss thier unique needs would be helpful. I established the East Texas Perinatal Council in 2005 and continue to facilitate the group. The group rotates meeting sites, so that everyone can showcase their facility and share their expertise with the group. I have 16+ years of Neonatal ICU experience and am NCC board certified in Neonatal ICU nursing.
I have presented a poster at an international conference in 2006 on reduction of level I admissions to the NICU. I am also a regional trainer for NRP, a national instructor for the STABLE Program, and have lectured on multiple subjects to hospital staff in the region.
