Biographical Sketch: Paulette Melanson recieved her Baccalaureate and Masters degrees in Nursing from Boston College. She has over 30 years of experience in nursing, mainly in maternal/child nursing, and has worked in direct care, education, as a nurse practitioner and in management. She has taught in several Boston area schools of nursing and is a member of many professional organizations. Her certifications include Childbirth Education, Inpatient Obstetrics and Perinatal Loss Counseling. Paulette currently is Nurse Manager on a postpartum/nursery unit at Brigham & Women's Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts. She has been active on hospital committees, in particular, the conference planning committee for the annual Women and Newborns conference. In recent years she has won individual and team awards from the hospital's Partners in Excellence Award program.
