Biographical Sketch: Dr. Jaynelle Stichler is an Associate Professor for Graduate Nursing at San Diego State University, School of Nursing. She is the Concentration Chair for Nursing Leadership in Health Systems. Dr. Stichler is known for her research and work in healthcare work environments and their effect on organizational culture/performance and the human experience. She has a column in AWHONN's Journal of Women's Health on Leadership and a column in the Journal of Nursing Administration on Evidence-based Design. She is also the Co-Editor of the new Journal of Health Environments Research and Design. Dr. Stichler has an extensive background in Women's Health and maternal-newborn care as the past Executive Director of the Mary Birch Hospital for Women and the Corporate VP for Women's Services for Sharp Health Care.
