Biographical Sketch: Janice Cudlic, RNC, is a Registered Nurse on the Mother-Baby Unit at Lehigh Valley Hospital and Health Network (LVHHN), Allentown, Pennsylvania. She is responsible for the care of post-partum mothers and newborn infants. Janice exhibits great leadership as she acts in the role of rotating charge nurse, participates in mentorship programs, and functions as a preceptor to newly hired employees. She began her career in nursing as a Licensed Practical Nurse in 1979, graduating from Lehigh Carbon Community College, Schnecksville, Pennsylvania. While working on various medical-surgical units at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Janice continued to pursue her education and completed her associate’s degree in nursing in 1988 through Northampton County Community College, Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. During her tenure as a post-partum nurse, Janice has been instrumental in the planning and implementation of couplet care nursing on the Mother-Baby Unit. She is currently certified in Maternal Newborn Nursing through the National Certification Corporation. In 2004, Janice was the recipient of a LVHHN Friends of Nursing Award.
