Biographical Sketch: Ellen J. Reed, MBA, MSN, APRN, BC, has an extensive background in healthcare including clinical and administration experience in Perinatal Services, Women’s Surgery, Pediatrics, Comprehensive Cancer Services, Ambulatory Medical Care, and Pain Management Services. Reed currently is a Managing Consultant with IBM Healthlink Solutions and is the project manager of the Tenet Healthcare Perinatal Standardization Project. Reed has postgraduate preparation and certification as a Gestalt Psychotherapist. Her behavioral health background prepared her for private practice and a consultation/liaison role in organizational dynamics and change. She also taught at the undergraduate and graduate level at the University of the State of New Jersey, Rutgers College of Nursing. Reed has been recognized as one of North Carolina’s Great 100 Nurses.
