Biographical Sketch: Mary Kelly is a staff nurse in Labor and Delivery at Rex Healthcare in Raleigh, North Carolina. She became a Registered Nurse in Dublin, Ireland and a Nurse Midwife in Brisbane, Australia where she worked as a midwife for 6 years. Since coming to the United States, she has worked in Labor and Delivery at Rex Healthcare as a staff nurse, Assistant Clinical Manager and Acting Clinical Manager.
Rex Healthcare was recently designated as a Magnet Hospital. For the last two years, as well as staffing, Mary has been the mentor for a Research Project undertaken by the Labor and Delivery bedside Nurses. She has since spoken to various groups who want to promote nursing research at the bedside about their experiences.
