Biographical Sketch: Ms. Hunt RNC is an Advanced Clinician at Sharp Grossmont Hospital in Southern California, a community hospital that performs approximately 300 deliveries a month. Joanna graduated from San Diego State University in 1997, with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. In her current position, she works as a clinical nurse in Labor and Delivery and provides care for intrapartum, antepartum and obstetrical triage patients. As an Advanced Clinician, she also functions as a mentor and resource to staff, educating them on best practices, and has recently participated in an interfacility Evidence Based Practice Institute: Consortium for Nursing Excellence in San Diego. She chairs the department's Unit Practice Council and represents Labor and Delivery at the Hospital Wide Nursing Practice Council. Joanna is an active member in her local AWHONN chapter.
