Nurse Manager at the Maternal Child Health Department, San Antonio Community Hospital, Upland, California. She has worked there since November 1978, starting as a staff nurse and working up to management level. For the last two years her department has been recognized by Health Grades, Inc. as a recipient of Specialty Care Excellence Award and given a five star rating. In her thirty-one years in health care she has been a staff nurse in all areas of the Maternal Child department. She was a part of a multidisciplinary team to develop an educational DVD to educate teens and young adults about the Safe Surrender law. This DVD has now been viewed by more than 60,000 individuals. She was featured on the cover of Advance for Nursing Magazine Jan/2007 for her work educating young teens and adults about the Safe Surrender law. Recently she was taped for a national commercial on health information concerning Safe Surrender, to be released August or September 2007.
