Biographical Sketch: Orpha Weinhold has worked as a registered nurse in the labor and delivery unit of Inova Alexandria Hospital in Northern Virginia for the last twenty three years. She works in a dual role as a registered nurse and as the bereavement coordinator of Women’s and Children’s Services. She is the committee chair of the Inova Alexandria’s multidisciplinary Perinatal Loss Committee that addresses the needs of the grieving mother and their families. Orpha has her MS in Nursing from Virginia Commonwealth University, in Richmond, Virginia where she has just recently completed her Nurse Practitioner and Clinical Nurse Specialist in Psychiatric Nursing. Her primary interest is in meeting the needs of grieving mothers and their families, postpartum depression, intimate partner violence and depression. She has been involved as an interviewer and reviewer for the Fetal Infant Mortality Review Program in Northern Virginia.
