Biographical Sketch: Ms. Harris has focused her clinical nursing career on caring for women during the childbearing experience. She has worked with mothers in the prenatal period and during their hospitalization for childbirth. She is certified in health care for women. Promotion of breastfeeding and teaching and support for breastfeeding mothers is an important part of her delivery of nursing care. She also has many years of experience as an educator. Ms. Harris won the 2007 AWHONN Excellence in Education Award.
