Biographical Sketch:  Johanna Schloemann is a neonatal and pediatric nurse practitioner with over 24 years of experience in a 68-bed  level III NICU. Ms Schloemann’s research interests include developmental and family centered care, evaluating the effects of light and sound on the developing neonate, and  providing consistent nursing care with 12 hour shifts. Ms. Schloemann is an adjunct nursing instructor in the neonatal nurse practitioner program at Barnes-Jewish College of Nursing and Allied Health. She has 8 years of management experience in neonatal/ pediatric transport and emergency unit care at St. Louis Children’s Hospital. She currently co-chairs the research protocol review committee, and the Joint Practice Committee at St. Louis Children’s Hospital. Ms. Schloemann obtained her undergraduate degree from the Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville, IL, and her graduate and post graduate degrees from the University of Missouri in St. Louis, Mo.
