Biographical Sketch: Maureen is a Neonatal Clinical Nurse Specialist for a 46 bed NICU and 26 bed Mother Baby unit at Deaconess Medical Center in Spokane, WA. She is a neonatal nursing consultant to 46 community hospitals in E. Washington, N. Idaho and NE. Oregon. She received her diploma in nursing from Sacred Heart School of Nursing, Bachelors in Nursing from Gonzaga University and Masters in Nursing from Intercollegiate College of Nursing, Washington State University. She has had varied experiences as a transport nurse, NICU nurse manager, clinical educator and parenting educator for pregnant and addicted moms. She has been a consultant on newborns exposed prenatally to drugs and alcohol for the states of Washington and Idaho Depts of Child Welfare and Social Services. She has written numerous articles and has been on the editorial boards of JOGNN Neonatal Network, Mother Baby Journal She is a content reviewer for several nursing textbooks.
