Speaker Introduction

Birdie Meyer is an RN with a Master’s Degree in Psychology/Counseling.  She is the Coordinator of the Perinatal Mood Disorders Program at Clarian Women’s Health Services.  She is also the Indiana State Coordinator for Postpartum Support International and serves as a board member and chairperson on their national committee for education and curriculum development.  She is currently President-Elect and will begin her 2-year term as President for PSI in June 2008. Birdie specializes in the recognition and treatment of pregnancy and postpartum depression.   She is a childbirth educator and a lactation counselor.  Birdie received the Jane Honikman award in 2007.  This award is given  in recognition of an outstanding contribution to the goal of increasing awareness of emotional health related to chilbearing.
