Biographical Sketch: Olinda Johnson is a RNC, MSN, Clincial Nurse Specialist in Women and Children Services at Lyndon B. Johnson General Hospital in Houston, Texas. Ms. Johnson is currently enrolled at Texas Woman's University in the Doctoral Program for Nursing Education. Employed by the hospital district for 30 years, mostly in high risk obstetrics, Ms. Johnson has worked in a variety of roles ranging from unit clerk to nurse manager. For the last 15 years she has been an adjunct faculty instructor for Texas Womans University in the Nursing Program. In 2001, she was voted as one of the top 100 Alumni of TWU, and was the first recipient of the hospital district's Distinguished Clinician Award. Since the 1980's Ms. Johnson has had the privilege of speaking at nursing seminars, medical conferences, and schools in the areas of high risk obstetrics, critical care OB. obstetrical emergencies, fetal monitoring and workplace relationships. Olinda brings expertise, excitement, energy and comedy to the podium.
