Biographical Sketch:
 
Linda is currently the Director for Women’s, Infants’ and Children’s Services at Roper St. Francis Healthcare in Charleston, SC. She has over 25 years experience in Maternal Child Health as a staff nurse, educator, manager and administrator. She received a BS in Psychology from St. Joseph’s College in Philadelphia, a BSN from Rutgers University in Camden, NJ and an MSN in Nursing Administration from Villanova University in Villanova, Pennsylvania. She is a Past President of the South Carolina Perinatal Association and active in South Carolina perinatal issues.  Linda is most known for her involvement in the national organization, AWHONN (The Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nursing). In the past she served as the Secretary/Treasurer and Chair of the New Jersey Section of AWHONN and served on several AWHONN national committees, including the Cardiovascular Health in Women Initiative. Linda was also one of the first consultants for the AWHONN Consulting Group. Linda is currently a member of the AWHONN Board of Directors. Linda’s other professional distinctions include the 2004 South Carolina Palmetto Gold Recognition Award for excellence in nursing and ANCC certification in Nursing Administration, Advanced .
Linda is a well-known national and local speaker on nursing issues and is the author of a publication on perinatal staffing and the nursing shortage.
