G9 - a New Vision for Preterm Birth Prevention? the Use of Progesterone Therapy

Preterm birth is increasing at an alarming rate across the country. Current methods for diagnosis and treatment of preterm labor are often disputed in the literature and very little has been written about preterm birth prevention. But because of these rising statistics, researchers have started to focus on prevention. Progesterone therapy has shown the greatest promise. This session will focus on the physiology of progesterone in pregnancy as well as use of progesterone for preterm birth prevention.
