H3 - Birthing Alternatives in a High Tech Environment

The benefits of non-pharmacological pain relief measures for laboring women cannot be disputed. However, implementing these measures may prove difficult in birthing environments that rely on technology and pharmacologic methods to address labor pain. In this session we will discuss the essential elements to providing high touch care and explore organizational models for nurse managers and intrapartum nurses who seek to implement this type of care in their facilities.
