THis case study explores a unique case of a patient with Neurofibromatosis Type I who becomes pregnant.  This case study follows the patient from the first prenatal vist, the cesarean delivery and subsequent emergent  spinal cord surgery.  The patient was discharged from an inpatient rehabilitation unit aprroximately 6 weeks after delivery.

The clinical challenges of NF I in pregnacy are presented by the neurology nurse expert and the pregnancy challenges are described by the perinatal  nurse expert.  The objectives of the presentation are to share knowledge learned and offer guidance for future nurses caring for these complex patients.
