- Describe the signs and symptoms of perinatal depression.
- Discuss the use of psychopharmological treatments in both pregnancy and postpartum.
- Discuss medications and breastfeeding in the treatment of postpartum depression.
The treatment of perinatal depression is critical to the health of both the mother and child. This session will discuss key aspects of the treatment plan: therapy and psychpharmacology.
