Title: G1 - Emergency Response In Labor and Delivery: Right People, Right Place, Right Time
Disciplines: Professional Issues (PI), Childbearing (CB), Advanced Practice (AP)
Learning Objectives:
- Identify three fetal heart rate patterns associated with emergent delivery.
- Describe three key interventions that can reduce the "event to delivery time" with fetal bradycardia.
- Discuss the strengths of your current emergent response practices and three areas where improvement can be made.
Rapid delivery of a fetus in a safe and timely fashion should be a routine accomplishment for any obstetrical service. This presentation will help institutions respond to the challenge of maintaining a rapid response capability, by presenting a standardized approach to evaluating and responding to fetal heart rate patterns associated with the need for rapid delivery.
