Learning Objectives:
  1. Describe changes in preterm birth rates.
  2. Review history of tocolysis.
  3. Examine current use of cervical length ultrasound and progesterone.
Submission Description:
This session will discuss the history of tocolysis and the changes in preterm birth rates. The use of historical risk factors and cervical length ultrasound to predict risk for preterm birth will be addressed. In addition use of progesterone products to decrease the risk of preterm birth for high risk patients will be reviewed.
