  2. Discuss the evidence for common care practices in labor and birth
  3. Recognize strategies to implement evidence based care for labor and birth
Submission Description:
Care in labor and birth has included wrist restraints/stirrups, directed pushing and water birth. The challenge for the provider is to know which practices are myth or tradition or evidence based. This presentation will examine historical and contemporary practices and suggest a strategy to implement evidence based care in labor and birth.
