Learning Objectives:
  1. Discuss the role of nurses as clinical experts, scientific scholars, exemplary leaders, and compassionate caregivers.
  2. List five factors that cause nurses to lose the "magic".
  3. Identify three strategies for maintaining the excitement, commitment, and magic in nursing.
Submission Description:
This session will explore the various roles nurses are expect to fulfill in today’s ever changing healthcare environment – as clinicians, scholars, leaders, educators, and patient advocates. We will review multiple factors that may cause a decrease in personal satisfaction and loss of the “magic” in nursing. As we end the conference, we will discuss strategies to maintain and rebuild our excitement and commitment to advancing excellent in nursing practice. It’s magic!
