An academic medical center (AMC) in Maryland initiated a cervical cancer screening program in 1977 in compliance with a Maryland cervical cancer screening law. An educational program was developed to increase compliance by the patient service coordinator (PSC) who conducts registration and screening when a patient is admitted to the AMC. The results reveal there was an increase in screening compliance among the registration staff which can positively impact staff ability to screening inpatient women
