Submission Description:
Acute Renal Failure (ARF) is a rare life threatening complication of severe preeclampsia and HELLP syndrome affecting approximately 1 in 20,000 pregnancies. This case study will focus on the management of a patient with severe preeclampsia who experienced a fetal demise complicated by DIC and ARF. Treatment and management strategies will be described along with the importance of a multidisciplinary team approach in preventing further deterioration of kidney function, therefore improving outcomes for these complex patients.
