Learning Objectives:
  • The learner will identify roadblocks to implementing skin-to-skin in the OR at their own institution and solutions to overcoming them.
  • The learner will be able to teach and empower mothers experiencing Ceserean birth to be self advocates for STS in the OR.
  • The learner will identify the benefits of STS in the OR as it pertains to improving patient satisfaction of the birth experience.

  • Submission Description:
    This presentation will discuss the hurdles and teamwork required to make skin-to-skin mother-baby contact a reality in the OR for mothers experiencing Cesarean birth.
