  • Discuss outcomes related to a population specific falls screening tool and prevention program

  • Submission Description:
    At an academic medical center with approximately 2,200 births per year an innovative project was undertaken to develop a population specific falls prevention and screening program. The results of this program reduced falls in Labor and Delivery from 10 in 2008 to two in 2013.

    The Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.
