  • Submission Description:
    Obstetric triage and evaluation are integral to obstetric care. As a specialty within obstetrics, the concept of triage units has flourished during the early part of the 21st century. This review focuses on liability issues, clinical decision aids, utilization, interprofessional education, and the need for a standardized obstetric triage acuity index. Recent research on best practices in obstetric triage and evaluation will be reviewed.
