Title: The Role of Glyburide Vs. Insulin in Neonatal Hypoglycemia

Anecdotally, the nursing staff felt that infants born to women treated with Glyburide had increased rates of hypoglycemia after birth. This prompted a group of OB RNs and Certified Diabetes Educators to conduct a retrospective study looking at the incidence of neonatal hypoglycemia in women with GDM or Type II DM treated with glyburide vs. insulin.
