Donor human milk falls under tissue regulation in New York State. Collaboration with Surgical Services Colleagues was essential to assist the Maternal Child Health Division in the development of policy, procedure, and purchase of equipment necessary to obtain licensure. Demonstrating total alignment with the hospital's existing tissue program, the donor human milk program was implemented in 2015.
